Original Lake Preston grade school building.
Replaced in the 80's with a new building.

days"
held in Lake Preston, SD. Notice the clothes.

Early 1900's photo of main street in Lake Preston, South Dakota.
Notice the hitching rails and the board walkways.

This photo is of the old "Opera House" in Lake Preston,
SD.
This building still stands today and the lower floor houses the city offices.
There has been talk recently about the possible restoration of the upstairs
Opera Hall.
(tin ceilings, maple flooring, stage area are still in pretty good condition.)

Merchants Exchange Bank building, built in 1904. Originally the
bank building, also housed appartments above. Served as the
Lake Preston Times (area newspaper) building until torn down
in the early 1980's for a new community building / fire hall / library.
Notice all of the telegraph? wires in front of the building.
